Pat, the pants! Only you could wear that and look good :)  Great memories!

At the time, I thought the whole 'ensemble' was cool. I had two shirts, one red and one blue. I had two ties, one blue and one white. I had two school pants, these and a tan pair. The tans weren't flashy enough for 1975, so I wore these most days. Unbelievable - in retrospect!

Father Meyer ... loved that guy.  Think he left the priesthood and got married about 15 years ago.  Anyone know his whereabouts?
-- Alan Steffens
This is from a Square Dance, Senior Year ...
-- Jenny Romer Scherrbaum
Nope....wrong Fr. Tom Meyer. THIS Fr. Meyer is Pastor at St. Albert's ... the last I heard.  He concelebrated Tony's funeral Mass.  The OTHER Tom Meyer married my husband and me at St. Charles in 1980 (and many others I assume) and left the priesthood about 15-20 years ago.
-- Jenny Romer Scherrbaum
The Father Tom Meyer that married you, Jenny and your husband, and my wife and me, married an Alter student.  Her first name was Terry and she was a KPD officer for about 8 years.  Tom got into a counseling job through one of the hospitals and Terry became an investigator for the state of Ohio.
-- Dave Denney
This Father Meyer counseled and married Dwight and me at Incarnation June 22, 1985.  We laughed about how he took my "Valley of the Dolls" book from me Jr year ... it wasn't even mine and I didn't get to read it!!!  hahaha
-- Ann Frounfelker Althaus
Fr. Meyer retired to St. Leonard's in the early 2000's and passed away about a dozen years ago. As Freshman in 1971, we were his first class of students when he was fresh out of the seminary. RIP.

Those are mine. Still have those, as well as James Sr. and some of his brother John's cards. Worth big $$$! ;-)

Gotta end this section on a funny note.  Anyone remember Bob Shreve and the Schoenling All-Nite Theater from WCPO in Cincinnati?  What a crazy dude he was!  Spent many a weekend staying up all night watching his antics and those "great" B grade movies!

To add to this, remember the "Uncle Al Show" and "Bowling for Dollars"?
-- Alan Steffens
I was on the "Uncle Al Show" and had to sing the BHA song.  "Bowling for Dollars" was aired live on WLWD (now WDTN) across the street from our house, as was the Phil Donahue Show.  Don't forget Dr. Creep on ch. 22.

Don't forget "Uncle Orrie and Ferdie Fussbudget" on WHIO Channel 7!  I was on that show twice while in cub scouts.  Didn't have a color TV in those days, and I remember being absolutely stunned at the color of the set the first time i saw it.  Got to play the 'Pirate Treasure' game, where you got' rained on' if you popped a balloon with an 'X (and not the treasure)'.  I can still see that guy above my head - out of camera shot sprinkling water on me with a watering can!
-- Pat Walsh
Yeh, I was on "Uncle Orrie", not "Uncle Al".  It was a rather humiliating experience, as I was a guest of some mentally challenged Indian Guides.  Then had to sing the BHA song with the other non-mentally challenged kids and hoping no one I knew was watching.

Mike - what makes you think you were a member of the "non-mentally challenged" kids group? :) Am I missing something obvious or does everyone else know what the "BHA song" is?  I guess I can count myself in the mentally challenged group as well!
-- Alan Steffens
Alan: How is this for 'mentally challenged"-"BHA means Better Home Appliances, Better Home Appliances, Better Home Appliances.  BHA means Better Home Appliances, Music and Appliance store (once more!).  Music and Appliance store.  B-H-A!"
-- Pat Walsh
Totally forgot that little ditty.  Now I'm un-mentally challenged for a while.
-- Alan Steffens
hahaha!!! Pat - you crack me up!!!
-- Ann Frounfelker Althaus
We always sang it as Bald- Headed Astronauts. It definitely got into our heads.
