| From 10th Reunion Brochure - After leaving Alter I moved to Arizona to attend ASU, Tempe where I received my BFA in ceramics. From there I moved to Texas to go to graduate school to receive a MFA in ceramics. Being tired of school I quit after one year and moved to Colorado. I have been here now for three years, living in small town, which survives on the ski industry. To survive I wait tables and when possible I make pottery. At the end of August I will be getting married and moving to Neterland, CO., a small town high in the mountains outside Boulder. | Following high school, I went to the University of Dayton. I was a townie, along with many of my fellow Alter classmates. After graduating from UD, I went directly to the University of Kansas for a masters degree. I met my wife, Kathleen Gallagher at KU. I consider my self very fortunate to have married Kathy, who has been a very understanding and loving wife and mother. We have two children: Caitlin and Peter. Caitlin has been an elementary school teacher, Improvisation performer, actress, television personality and writer (Comedy Central - Teachers), currently living in the Los Angeles area, being Mom to our two grandchildren. My son Peter has been a member of the Army since 2010, and intends to make it his career. He is in military intelligence. The note above regarding my employment shows that I moved quite frequently. I was an active member of Rotary Clubs in the communities I served, and volunteered for Boards of Directors for United Way, t he Red Cross and Boy Scouts of America. In retirement I worked with mentally and physically handicapped adults, in homeless shelters, and with Meals on Wheels. I am a member of the Companions of St. Francis; and supported various organizations that promoted sensible gun regulation and compassionate immigration policy. During my education and public service career I received recognition for his academic and community building activities, including the Reverend Brother Rose Award for Outstanding Political Science Senior at the University of Dayton; the Edwin O. Stene Scholarship at Kansas University; the Martin Luther King Jr. Brotherhood Award; and the Ohio Jaycees Outstanding Young Ohioan Award. |

Prior to that happening, she had written up this in the 2015 Alumni Directory - I will be a grandmother for the first time in August, 2015 when my son and his wife have their baby. I am very active at my church, St. John Neumann, Cincinnati, OH, where I am the vice-president of the Women's Organization. I am a chairwoman of one of our Festival Booths. I also chair the Women's Organization main fund raising activity, our Christmas Boutique, The House of Santa Mouse. I am learning play the harp and how to garden in an apartment setting. From a couple of Facebook Posts on Alter Seventyfive Kettering on July 4, 2011 - To the class of 1975 I wish to make an announcement. I only attended Alter for 2 years and everyone knew me as Jim. As I kept a fairly low profile I am not sure how well you remember me. I have embarked on a journey that is fundamentally changing my life and how I live it. The changes will be reflected in my Facebook page. The news is that I am undergoing a male to female (MtF) gender transition. I have actively suppressed this part of life for over 33 years. I have lived a life trying to satisfy another persons, and society's, expectations. That time has now passed. The emotional conflict nearly killed me. I literally had to transition or I simply would NOT be alive now. I have been living as a woman full-time for over 6 months. Final surgery will take place in early 2012. When you see me at the next reunion I will be appearing as Vicky. I request your prayers and good will. To those who can accept me I thank you and I am very grateful for your support (in whatever fashion it is in). To those who do not, or will not understand, I understand your feelings. However, I am moving on with my life regardless of other peoples negative feelings. I will not put my life on hold waiting for someones approval. | From 20th Reunion Brochure - Melanie Wilde and I moved to Florida one week after graduation. We were there for awhile and then moved back to Dayton. She got married and I started with the airlines. I mainly fly international flights to Japan, Germany and Amsterdam. I also attend school part-time. I am working on my degree in social work. I have been doing AIDS volunteer work with children for the last 8 years and my goal is to be a social worker with AIDS children. I was a foster mother for one year and found that very rewarding, yet very heartbreaking, too. I have had a great 20 years with one exception of losing my best friend - my Mom - three years ago to cancer. Life couldn't be better. Just bought my first house, a very old Tudor built in 1925. I'm also in love and you will see why! |

| I had a 40+ year career with General Motors, working in manufacturing, finance, global purchasing/supply chain and general management. It provided our family with a wealth of experiences including living in Europe and Asia for 11 years as well as Ohio, Michigan and Tennessee. We have traveled to 65 countries and now, in retirement, we are working on seeing the US. We enjoy boating, biking, hiking, traveling and sporting clays (me) and split our time between Michigan and South Carolina. Grandchildren are the greatest!
From 20th Reunion Brochure - Twenty years have flown by. I (we) have lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Tennessee as well as Ohio, and have the opportunity to travel to Europe and Japan. I've had the unique experience of being part of the birth of Saturn Corporation for most of its 10 years of existence. and minored in Illustration. Currently, I am working for a children's clothing manufacturer. As the assistant art director, my job responsibilities are foremost to design cute
children's art for the garments; from concept to final art which can be simple black & white line art for screen printing, or four color art such as paintings. I oversee all the artists in the department (12) and approve all of their final art pieces. Other duties include catalog layouts, hang tags, package designs, and various other responsibilities. I enjoy children's art and feel very blessed to have this job.
I've been working at Cutler's for 3 years. I also have been blessed with a fine husband, Jim Adams. He is an electronics technician and a native Michigander. We were married Aug. 6, 1983 in Grand Rapids. He comes from a small town north of Grand Rapids, Hart, MI and his father is a cherry farmer. We have a daughter, Emily Lynn, who was born May 29, 1984. I have been a guitar playing member of that group for the past 9 years. Hobbies include snow skiing, sailing, woodworking, and photography. Last year one of the projects built by my team was the Best Buy and Sears Homelife retail stores located by the Dayton Mall. We are now building a 480,000 distribution facility for Roberds in Fairborn. In 1984 I married Diane Clifton, a 1975 graduate from Carroll High School. After we started dating, Diane and I were surprised to find out that we were both in the 1963 graduating class from Tom Thumb Kindergarten. In 1989, Diane retired from WPAFB where she was a contract negotiator, to become a part-time consultant and full-time mom. Our daughters, Nicole and Michelle, will be in the 1st and 2nd grades at Ascension this fall. Since 1981 I have worked part time as a ski instructor. Currently I am a Level III certified instructor at Perfect Slopes in Lawrenceburg, Ind., where I teach three days a week during the season. Most of our vacations have been to Colorado for skiing, but Diane did talk me into a trip to Germany and Disney World. In my "spare time" I enjoy snow skiing, windsurfing, sailing, roller blading, photography, and woodworking. |

When I'm not working, I'm trying to attend conflicting Little League games (3 of the kids played this summer), watching cheesy old monster movies (and then drawing the creatures for coloring), hosting water balloon wars (600 balloons and all neighbor kids welcome who show up with their own towel) and of course, getting together with friends. |

Her favorite pastime was raising, training, and showing her beloved Australian Shepherd dogs in conformation, obedience, and agility. She was always eager to share her knowledge and passion with anyone who wanted to learn about Aussies or dog behavior and training in general. She was an American Kennel Club Breeder of Merit and a member of Columbus All Breed Training Club, The Australian Shepherd Club of America, and The United States Australian Shepherd Club. | After graduating from Flagler College in St Augustine, FL in 1979, my husband Dan and I were married and I began my teaching and coaching career at St Joseph Academy in St Augustine. Before our children were born Dan and I made a cross country trip out to LA for the 1984 Olympics. We really live in a Beautiful Country! Once our children were born, life became very busy. Our oldest son Jason was born totally blind and some other medical challenges, we became very active with a support group of Parents for the Visually Impaired. When our other two children started their sports careers, we were busy coaching and Jason was their biggest cheerleader. After I retired from teaching, we have taken trips to Ireland, and a train across Canada and are planning more trips as I write this! I am still playing tennis a couple days a week, I stopped playing competitive tennis a couple years back, after making it to the USTA senior nationals in Palm Springs, our Florida team qualified, a fun time! Enjoy swimming laps a couple days a week, much easier on the joints at our age. We are enjoying being grandparents to 3 boys and one girl, and more to come hopefully. We lost our son Jason in 2018, so blessed to have been his parents, he was truly a unique individual who always left meeting a person with a smile. Always enjoy our reunions, the laughter and stories are the best! Bill and I met in 1993 while we were both on vacation in Australia. He lived in Chicago so we dated long distance for awhile (too long). I moved to Chicago in May and am in the process of opening a second office there. Bill and I both love to travel and enjoy the outdoors including skiing, rollerblading, cycling, camping and running. Dr. George practiced osteopathic medicine for more than 25 years and homeopathic medicine for more than 14 years. He was the first osteopathic physician in the United States to be trained in Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT). Added duty is that of a weapons systems officer, utilizing navigation, radar and computer in the back seat of a F-4E Jet. | Deceased. Matt passed away on July 12, 2019. From his obituary - Matt spent his career working to advocate for those with disabilities. His caring, gentleness, and kindness was recognized by all who crossed paths with him. In his spare time, Matt was an avid runner, completing 37 marathons and two 50 mile ultra marathons. His favorite race was the Marine Corps Marathon which he was training to complete in the fall. Matt also found pleasure in woodworking and restoration projects. A few include the complete rebuild of an over hundred year old antique German wooden clock, refurbishing numerous antique spotlights, and his most recent project being the complete restoration of a 110 year old water pump. He and Kathy often found things he could work on during their time spent antiquing, a hobby they enjoyed doing together. Matt also loved the outdoors. He took his sons on several back-packing adventures in the midwest with his brother, Mike, and nephew, Steven. While at home, he took pride in working in the yard with his beloved dalmatian, Jazz, by his side as he tended to some of the most unique plants grown in Oakwood. | Deceased. Tony passed away on August 9, 2009. He received a heart transplant in 1978 at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA and was the longest living American recipient of a heart transplant, living an extra 31 years. He died of melanoma with his heart still beating strong until he passed. His obituary has a ton about his extraordinary life and passions, please check it out on his RIP page. From 10th Reunion Brochure - After graduating from Alter I attended Miami University for 1-1/2 years until a serious heart disease forced me to drop out. On Aug 31, 1978 I received a total heart transplant at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. After a seven month recovery period I returned to Dayton to lead a very active and productive life. In 1979, I began with Tuffy Brooks Sporting Goods here in Dayton as a part-time salesperson. Since then I have moved up the ladder until just recently being promoted to retail sales manager and buyer in charge of all advertising and promotions. I have also become very involved with the American Heart Association. As the "Sports for Heart" chairman, I host a golf tournament every year with all the proceeds going to the American Heart Association. The "Huesman Heart Open" has raised over $7000.00 for Heart. Hobbies I've picked up since high school include stain glass work, calligraphy, and gardening. Most important thing I've learned in life: Live each day to its fullest and don't take family and friends for granted. From 20th Reunion Brochure - Went to Miami University for 1-1/2 years after Alter. In 1978, I had a heart transplant operation that saved my life. Since then, I've returned to Dayton, work full time for Tuffy Brooks Sporting Goods, and I've raised over $120,000 for the Dayton Area Heart Association. My time is spent on managing our rental properties, on my classic car hobby being the president of a local Corvette Club. We also are fortunate to have a lake house in Tennessee on Norris Lake. Jim was a golf enthusiast and developed his love of golf at an early age as a caddy for Moraine Country Club while caddying with his brothers. He also spent many years on the ice playing in hockey leagues with his father. He was an incredible person known for his generous nature and kindness to others. His family always came first. | After graduating from UT, I lived in Cocoa Beach, FL and worked at Kennedy Space Center for 24 years. I met my husband (from Boston) at work (he was Operations Controller). We married and moved to Reno, NV in 2004. After 14 years in Reno, I retired from the school district and we moved back to Cocoa Beach to be closer to family. I always say I got to experience and enjoy the best of both worlds: the beautiful (but humid) beaches of Florida and the (dry climate) of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Reno/Tahoe. I love both areas. We spent a lot of time traveling through 45 states and 12 countries. Now in retirement I’m enjoying being able to: 1) hop on a cruise ship (Port Canaveral) 4 miles from home and taking a relaxing voyage, 2) taking long walks on the beach, 3) watching rocket launches from my balcony, and 4) family pool parties-playing pool volleyball. From 10th Reunion Brochure - The September after I graduated from High School my family moved to Cocoa Beach, FL. In January '76 I started college at the University of Tampa. I graduated on the Dean's List in December of '79 with B.A.s in French and Spanish and Minors in German and English. My travels since I graduated from High School have taken me to Germany, France, Switzerland, Denmark, England, Sweden, Norway, and Puerto Rico. For the last five years I have worked as an Aerospace Lecturer and Tour Guide for TWA Services-NASA-Tour Division, at Kennedy Space Center. A couple of years ago while I was working, I was called upon to translate for a Brazilian who was in the Emergency Room at KSC. One of the medical attendants looked familiar to me. She turned out to be Kathy Yingling (Weaver). Small world isn't it? I'm single (I plan to stay that way until I'm about 35, that way if I live to be about 70 I'll have spent about half of my years single and half married.) I live in a condominium two blocks from the beach. For the last five years, I've kept in shape by attending Jazzercise classes two or three times a week. If any of my former classmates are going to be in this area at the time of a Space Shuttle Launch, let me know and I'll give you a Launch Pass so that you may come onto the Space Center to view the launch. From his obituary - Daniel Maurice of Kettering, OH passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 following a short illness. He was 67. Dan was a graduate of Alter High School, class of 1975. He was a gifted artist and the largest part of his career was spent producing high quality commercial art, book illustrations and treasured personal artwork for family, friends and acquaintances. He was also a very talented musician and played in several local cover bands including some Beatle tribute bands that were regionally acclaimed including Eight Days a Week and the Apples. Performing the part of his most revered Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney brought him great joy. Dan was preceded in death by his father Milton Maurice and his two older brothers, Mark and Philip Maurice. He will be dearly missed by his mother, Anna Mae Maurice, his cherished friend Cindy Myers, his Aunt Nita Hart, cousins Tom, Jim (Alisa), Joanne Hart, Mike (Nancy) Bova, Jerry (Libby) Bova, Janice (Maggie) Evans and numerous good friends, bandmates and neighbors. Dan enjoyed listening to and talking about all sorts of music and had an extensive collection of recordings and other memorabilia. He was quick witted, warm hearted and kind; his unassuming sense of humor always brought laughter to the room. He was a connoisseur of vintage TV shows and Westerns, but not of fine dining or home cooked meals, preferring instead to tackle the various choices offered by nearby take out establishments. He considered himself to be a regular guy, at the same time he was loved by many. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Routsong funeral home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429. The family will greet guests following the service at a reception also held at Routsong. |

| Deceased. Kevin passed away on November 13, 2016. From his obituary - Kevin left this world while hunting in the mountains near his beloved Red Feather area of Colorado. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles out of high school and left for Florida to pursue baseball, his first true passion. He took what he learned from that experience and applied it to other fields during his life. Kevin helped improve the lives of all those he met through his work in landscaping, at Kodak and his studio. Kevin touched many lives and we'll miss his hearty laugh, silly jokes and his big smile. I worked with my father's company until August 1983 when my brother Tim & I began Stymco Construction. I spend my free time playing softball, water skiing, and gardening during the summer. I play racquetball, volleyball, and snow ski during the winter. I'm presently a Kettering resident living the Bachelor's life in a house Tim & I purchased in May 1984. From 20th Reunion Brochure - EDITOR'S NOTE: Steve submitted a newspaper article "Wild ride ends in recapture of brother's stolen car." Unfortunately, the article was too long to print, but we've summarized the story: "It was, as one Fairborn police officer said, a local version of Smokey and the Bandit Thursday when a Kettering man (Steve Missall) clung to the hood of his brother's speeding stolen car for a half-mile in a successful attempt to apprehend the driver." Steve spotted someone driving his brother's stolen car and walked up to the car to talk to the driver. The driver started backing out and Steve jumped on the hood. The driver drove about 45 mph trying to shake Steve off the hood. "About that time, I was thinking this was not a good idea," Missall said. After about a half-mile, the driver gave up and fled toward the Fairborn police station, where he was apprehended. |

| After graduation, I lived in Spain for four years, coming home with two beautiful daughters. I had lost most of my hearing in both ears due to a congenital defect, but ear surgery almost completely corrected it. Once I could hear again, I worked at Wright-Patt as a secretary, transferring soon after to DESC as a buyer and then a computer technician until it was downsized. After my son was born, I started a successful business selling my handspun yarns and handmade knitwear and crocheted items both locally and on Etsy. After about ten years, I branched out with a second business making videos at various venues for several years. The fiber arts business changed to online only, and then finally closed during Covid. During the years 1976 through about 2008, I performed Latino music and dance at many festivals, and eventually we were regulars at a local restaurant, singing one weekend a month. I was also performing Eastern European dance with our local club, and began playing Eastern European dance music from Bulgaria and Macedonia with a Columbus-based band. I've been playing with them for over 30 years now, performing sporadically in nearby cities. My current business was set up to eventually start publishing board games, but at the beginning I started by making logic puzzles. My original book "PrismaPixels" was the first of its kind with full-color pixel puzzles. I made and published two more of that same type (with a sudoko variant called SigmaDoku in between), and will be publishing the 4th pixel puzzle book in 2024 geared towards beginners and children. I also hope to complete the third book in a young adult trilogy and get it published then as well. Other hobbies include martial arts (3rd-degree Black Belt), daylily hybridizing (18 registered daylilies), and designing board games (four in progress), as well as clogging in my daughter's group and spending time with my grandsons (Wesley and Brenden) whenever possible. Yes folks, it took me 10 years and a move to Colorado to obtain my B.S. Although I travelled a lot during that time, held down various jobs and even took a few days off to get married, I've pretty much been attending school daily for ten years. Rather frightening isn't it! Hopefully, within the next few months I'll join the American workforce, make mucho dinerop, and have some bambinos. By that time my husband, Clay Dillingham, will have graduated with a PhD in Anthropology. I guess I'll never be too far from and educational institution. (Sigh) Kim's original job title was Microbiologist, it looks like that evolved into an academic college faculty position. |

I have been actively teaching since graduation. Originally taught at Our Lady of Mercy for three years before going to the Dayton City Schools. I have taught at Fairport, Stivers, and Kiser Intermediate Schools. I am currently at Kiser teaching Social Studies. During my teaching days, I have taught math, physical education, science, religion, social studies, English, reading, and been an OWA (Occupational Work Adjustment) coordinator. | From 20th Reunion Brochure - After nearly flunking high school algebra at Alter, I got motivated and went on to get my CPA. I spent 9 years in public accounting, leaving auditing as a manager in the emerging company department of Price Waterhouse in San Diego. After a short stint as Controller for Trammell Crow Company, a national commercial real estate developer, I started a consulting company assisting high growth companies in their financial projections and debt/equity issues. In 1988 Callaway Golf was one of my clients. At the time, Callaway had just reached the level of $3 million in annual sales and had 60 employees. I joined the company then as Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Completely innovative products such as the Big Bertha Metal Wood allowed the company's sales volume to soar. In 1992 I was part of the team that "took the company public" on the New York Stock Exchange. We continued to grow and in fact doubled in sales volume and profits for 5 years in a row. In 1994 we posted $449 million in sales, $78 million in profits and had 2300 employees. I retired as CFO in 1994. I am now using my free time to travel the world and "give back" to the community. I am actively involved in employee-related childcare issues, and am in charge of setting up a 125-child "on site" childcare center for Callaway Golf. |

I am presently working nights and am on the Neonatal Transport Team (the transportation of critically ill newborns from referring hospitals over a 5 county radius). During the day I care for my 2 daughters: Erica 4 yrs. & Brittany 2 yrs. I am presently married and my husband and I own our own home which we recently designed and built ourselves a passive solar greenhouse addition on to our house. Airlines. I've been there for 8 years now. With my schedule being so well and only working 3 days a week I decided to start my own company a few months ago. It's an Interior
design company. It's keeping me busy. In March of 1984 I got married (finally !!) to a terrific guy who I'd been dating about 3 years. He also works for Southwest Airlines in their executive offices. We are content with our lives as they are now, but expect to have children in the future. From 20th Reunion Brochure - Well, since last seeing everyone I've been very busy. Eight years ago I had a son Jacob, then about 4 1/2 years ago I had a daughter Shelby. As you well know between school activities, softball, soccer, hockey, and ballet it keeps me busy. Myself, I've been doing some traveling. I just returned from England. Being a flight attendant I have the opportunity to be in several states in a week. I've just completed my 18th year with Southwest Airlines and still love it. I just received the "Star of the Month" for October 1995 at Southwest. I'm very proud of that. I couldn't believe I was chosen. Whew! What a life, it all goes by so fast. I've met a lot of interesting people in the last 20 years. Of course living in Texas I've met a lot of the Dallas Cowboys, no not Trog-darn it!! I've had Nolan Ryan on twice. Billy Joel, Bette Midler, George Bush, Jr., and a few I didn't even know. L.A. and 5 miles from the beach. I've worked for Alpha Beta Co. in Laguna Niguel for six years. In addition, I've had a volunteer job with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the past three years. I finally started college full-time last January. (It took me all this time to get motivated!) I'm a computer science major and I hope to work in the movie industry using computer graphics for movie animation and special effects. In my spare time (what little there is!) I enjoy going to the many theatres and clubs in L.A., dining out, attending concerts and athletic events, and hanging out at the nearby beaches and harbors. I really love it here! I worked for the Department of Defense at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base from Aug of '77, after graduation for the Public Affairs office of the Acquisition Logistics Division. I stayed at Wright-Patterson
and the same division as a Data Specialist and finally as a Computer Programmer until August of 1980. During those three years the Defense Department provided more education for me at the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Comptroller's Training Program. In September of 1980, I went back into the music field full-time as organist and choir director at St. Albert's, St. Luke's, and Immaculate Conception. For the past five years, I have worked with Adult, High School, and Youth Choirs at these various parishes in conjunction with my husband, Allen, who is Director of Music at St. Albert's. And, most importantly, on August 13, 1981 we became proud parents of our darling daughter, Renee Patrice, now age 3 1/2 years. From 20th Reunion Brochure - In developing my thoughts about Reunion information, a strong element that comes forward to mind is that our daughter, Renee, will be graduating from Alter in the year 2000, the same as our 25th Class Reunion. I have a very busy professional and personal life; I greatly enjoy my work with students at the University of Dayton in liturgical music and dance (I am beginning my 7th year at UD), as well as the private teaching of piano and voice I do through the music studio my husband, Allen, and I have, as Keyboard Classics. | Deceased. Mark passed away on July 17, 1990. US Coast Guard - MK1 is inscribed on his grave marker in the Miamisburg Catholic Cemetery. This is a mechanics rating in the Coast Guard, so Mark was a skilled mechanic. From the 10th Reunion Brochure - Mark's address was listed as U.S. Coast Guard Base Ketchikan, Ketchikan, Alaska. His occupation was listed as a Diesel/Gasoline Engine Mechanic. The brief bio he wrote up is as follows: Coast Guard for 9 years working search & rescue, law enforcement, isolated lighthouse duty, aids to navigation (Buoy tender) & ocean fisheries patrol on a 378 ft. ship. Single, never married. I've worked in FL on the Gulf Coast. Virginia for schools, Alaska for lighthouse duty and Buoy tender. The 378 ft. Cotter was home patrol in San Francisco and patrolled from the US/Mexico border north to Alaska and the Bering Sea. I'm currently in charge of the vehicle maintenance shop. I'm due for reassignment in Dec to an ice breaker ported in Seattle, WA. I enjoy photography and have nearly 100 rolls of film taken on the various units I've been assigned to. |

| After graduating from WSU in 1980, I moved to Grand Rapids, MI taking a job at Lear Siegler, Inc as a software engineer, working on the Boeing 737 Flight Management System, then supporting that and several other cockpit systems on-site at Boeing in Seattle from 1980-1987. During that time I bought a house in North Seattle and decided to make this beautiful city my home in 1984. I took another software engineering position at a smaller business jet avionics firm, Universal Avionics, from 1987-1990 where I met my wife Nora. In 1990 I hired into Rockwell Collins and changed careers from software engineering to IT, managing their Kirkland, WA office and Airshow Systems acquisition from 1990-2005. They moved their base of operations to Southern CA in 2005 and rather than transfer, I left the company. Being an almost 50 year-old in a IT career dominated by 30 year-old ex-Microsoft engineers, it was back to school for me for a year getting an Microsoft MCSE certification in 2006. I had started a side business (Digital Vision Inc) consulting and doing website development in 1995 and still do both today. I took an IT Manager position at Applied Technical Services (circuit board manufacturing) in Everett, WA in 2007 and was promoted to IT Director in 2011 managing a staff of 8 and 2 facilities (Everett and Hermosillo, Mexico). Semi-retired in 2015, working every other week while training my replacement, fully retiring in 2017. Nora and I married in 1994 and had 2 daughters, Shannon in 1998 and Hailey in 2004. Was a ski instructor at Stevens Pass Ski Resort from 1995-2000, and am still an avid skier. Played volleyball, softball and bowled in leagues for years. Always seem to have a home improvement project on the books, restored my 1926 vintage house in North Seattle, built a 20x30' garage with a dormer, and finished the basement there. Moved to a bigger house in the suburbs in 1997, built a shed made of river rock there and have done several grandiose yard landscaping projects over the years. Love to hike, bike, golf, camp, and travel with the family. We have been all over Europe, and to Mexico, Hawaii (many times-love it there), the Caribbean, Australia, Iceland, and all across the US and Canada. We have had many great vacations with friends and neighbors, hoping to do a lot more of that in retirement. Alter HS rocks - see you at the 50th Reunion in 2025! My sister and I purchased a new townhome in May 1984. I enjoy living in Northern California close to San Francisco, the beach, and Lake Tahoe. I have worked at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, Calif. for 4 years specializing first in surgical nursing and for the last year in Maternal - Child nursing. I am also an instructor for our Community Health Education Dept. I purchased a townhome last year with my sister, Maureen. My favorite pasttimes include traveling, snow skiing in Aspen, Colo. and Lake Tahoe, and gardening. Michelle received her M.F.A from Miami University in 1981 and we moved to Atlanta for school and work. He loved theatre and was active in Newtowne Players. He wrote many plays, directed and acted in plays. He attended the University of Dayton and left to attend the Second City School of Acting. He was a loyal and devoted Chicago Cubs fan. He loved the game. He was an avid reader and stayed informed on all political issues. He will be missed by his family. He had the ability to make people laugh and bring levity even in the most difficult times. One of the first female Firefighter/Paramedic at Space Center. Trained in May 1984 to rescue astronauts in case of shuttle impact and currently only female qualified to do so. Training includes helicopter jumps into water to deploy
rescue equipment. Trained in Helicopter Medical Evacuation (Medevac) procedures. Recently returned from TDY assignment (for shuttle launch) in Dakar, Senegal. Stopped in Zurich, Switzerland and Paris to get to Dakar. Hobbies include scuba diving, sewing, softball or anything that allows us to enjoy
the beautiful Florida weather. Volunteer as Paramedic on Ambulance in Melbourne area on days off. Back in college part-time to pick up credits for degree in Paramedicine and Management. Husband, Dennis is a Fire Inspector at Patrick AFB, who also enjoys scuba diving and outdoors. Received NASA Team Award (high honor for contractor employees for NASA) for training and involvement with Astronaut Rescue Team (official title: OFF SLF Contingency Rescue Team). Team is only trained team in operation for NASA and based at KSC. From 20th Reunion Brochure - I have worked as a firefighter/paramedic until my promotion to Captain in 1990. I function as a Shift Captain (working 24 hours on and 48 hours off) and am responsible for a fire station, the surrounding district, 8-12 personnel and 7 major pieces of equipment. I function as a team leader on three specialized astronaut rescue teams. I have been able to travel to London & Brussels enroute to West Africa for shuttle launches. In addition to these assignments, I also function as Shift HazMat Officer, EMS Officer, and the Protective Clothing Officer for the Fire Department. I am working with a group that wants to start an Air Rescue Service in the county where I live. I have been offered a position as Chief Flight Paramedic, but the service is not yet active. With all of this activity, I am strongly involved with my children's school and their extracurricular activities. Both children are active in soccer and basketball/softball. We just completed construction of a home on a canal and hope to remain there for a long while. Finally, I am back in school. After completing two A.S. degrees, I am working on a B.A. in Organizational Studies which I should complete within the next two years. This should prepare me for future management level positions and allow me to improve my chances for early retirement (it's hard to imagine it's time to consider retirement!). | Went to Sinclair for 1 1/2 years for nursing until my husband and I were in a car wreck and ended my nursing career. Worked at Woody’s Market as a cake decorator, then started to work out of my home as a decorator until Bill and I moved to Florida. Then worked in my HOA as office manager until I retired 2 years ago. Lived in Centerville, Miamisburg and then North Port, Florida. Was on a bowling league and played on Churches softball team. Did the cover of a book by authors Carol Guy and Linda Zimmer “Murder at the Loft”. Love doing any arts and crafts, and cakes. Enjoyed Florida for 10 years but it was time to come back and be with family. My husband had a stroke and I got pancreatic cancer, which I am 4 years cancer free and my husband is doing well, so we are enjoying the rest of our lives with our kids and grandchildren. |

Centerville, OH. From 20th Reunion Brochure - I have traveled around the world and seen many interesting places. My two most favorite places were Hawaii and Alaska. An accomplishment I'm proud of is being a parent of five children and being able to live by a lake where my children are able to enjoy many sports. This year we attended the Indianapolis 500. The race was interesting but how we arrived to the race was more fun. We arrived by limousine that was escorted by the police. This was a great way to reach the race track when you consider that 400,000 people were trying to arrive at the same time.
